Meet Dr. Christina Stathakis, one of our dedicated veterinarians here at Martin Downs Animal Hospital!

Originally from the beautiful countryside of Colorado, Dr. Stathakis discovered her passion for animals early in life—caring for everything from barnyard friends to beloved pets. She went on to study Animal Sciences at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine, ranked #2 in the country as of 2023.

Dr. Stathakis has been part of our MDAH family since August 2023 and continues to provide exceptional care to pets of all kinds. She has a special interest in exotic species, including reptiles and small farm animals, and her calm, compassionate approach makes her a favorite among clients and their pets alike.

When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Stathakis enjoys spending time outdoors, swimming, horseback riding, and exploring Florida’s coastline.
